For being an island in the Atlantic Ocean, Stonebrook was unseasonably warm and beautiful. The storm that came through had passed, leaving sea blue skies, and melting snow temperatures. Stonebrook's snow pact was melting ever so slowly, which meant spring was right around the corner. It was Nev's favorite time of the year. Springtime meant a lot to Guinevere Gothel, it meant being able to take the stroll through the park (just like she normally does even during the winter months provided the path is plowed), stop by the flowerbeds, take in their scent and enjoy the sounds of nature that springtime brought.

It also meant that she would be able to stop by the farmers market and pick up some fresh flowers for the restaurant. She always liked picking the flowers that she enjoyed, and those of the patrons too. Ms. Carmichael liked lilies with baby's breath, and Mr. Harmen was very simple. Red Roses. He would always ask if he could take them home for the Misses, and how could Guinevere deny him? He was one of the best she had. Well they all were. But for some reason, the 78 year old man reminded her off her own grandfather. Or what she envisioned her grandfather to be like had he not died long before she moved into her grandmother's cottage.

With a spring in her step, and a renewed sense of self, she made her way through the park. Just to take a look. It was possible that she may not have been alone in her thoughts of enjoying the warm weather while they had it. When a gust of wind blew, Guinevere tightened her coat hugging it close to her and tucked her chin behind the plaid scarf. Her eyes downwards on the wet cement, she had no idea that she was walking right into the path of someone else.

"Oh I am so... sorry."she started to apologize as she lifted her head, and she wasn't expecting to see who was standing there. "You!" she gasped and took a step backwards.

I'll be everything I'm not

Someone would be a fool not to enjoy the beautiful day handed to them. And that included Mr. Levi Branson Sinclair. Normally closeted in his shop, even he had to admit it was ludicrous to not enjoy the unpredicted sunshine and slightly humid air. Hands stuffed into the deep pockts on his slacks, Levi fancied himself a stroll. Breathing everything in and giving nothing back.

It didn't matter how long he walked, just that he was doing so. His face a bitter sweet reminder that he was alive and kicking to those who braved a timid glance at it. Even though there was a warm and easy grin on his face.

Levi however, was paying painful attention to everything. So he simply stopped as soon as the young woman stepped into his path. What deep thoughts were circling in her mind that caused such a simple misplacement of a step, he wondered. And smiled. "Good afternoon Ms. Gothel. I do hope you're enjoying the short change in the weather?" Levi asked in a kind voice, no need to strike panic in everyone now was there? Of course, there were some that he intended such a thing, but it seemed that this woman was not one of them.

Levi frowned, if she didn't owe him anything then why was there shock in her voice. Secrets for him to extract, perhaps? Regaurdless, Levi still frowned slightly, and ran a hand down the front of his shirt. Looking down at it like maybe that was the reason for shock. Maybe he had dropped a bit of his breakfast on it, and there was a stain.

But of course that wasn't it. Levi lifted his gaze back to the young woman's face and tilted his head slightly to the side. "Is something bothering you?"

Based on Guinevere's response to Mr. Sinclair she sure as heck wasn't expecting to run... rather bump into him. The town's most renowned antique specialist. He seemed to know everything about everyone, and what he didn't know, he did his best to figure out. At least, if one were to believe the rumors, and Guinevere wasn't sure she if she wanted to believe them. But given the state of him, and seeing him face to face, it was hard to not question the truthfulness of the stories. Everyone in Stonebrook had a story to tell. If they weren't willingly telling it, they were trying to figure them out. Guinevere was no different. Although, she would like to believe that Mr. Sinclair thought that maybe she was different. She had worked exceptionally hard at making the restaurant what it was and was different from the rest of the residents of Stonebrook.

Question was, would he think otherwise given the look on her face of her haphazardly bumping into the man? She quickly hid the fact that she was shocked, or even scared of him and brushed her hair away from her face. "Good afternoon, Mr. Sinclair." she stated in return of his greeting. One thing she did agree with him on was the gorgeousness of the weather. "I couldn't help myself, you see. " she would have continued on with her train of thought, about how she enjoys cutting through the park on the way to the restaurant but she didn't feel like chit chatting with the gentleman before her, even though, he had that certain vibe coming from him that made people do exactly that without even trying.

She took the moment when he dropped eye contact to look anywhere but at him. Looking for perhaps anyone else in the area, that would come to her rescue if Mr. Sinclair had sinister thoughts. However, when he looked up and spoke again, her gaze returned, as she didn't want to come across as rude.

"Something... wrong? Why would anything be wrong?" she asked, curiously. Was there fear written on her face or something?

I'm open to falling from grace
WORDS 323 OUTFIT deep grey button down, black slacks and polished leather top shoes~

"Oh, don't apologize my dear." Levi raised a hand to stop her, even though she seemed to be doing that on her own. It's not uncommon for me to lose myself in pleasant thoughts. I find it nice." Levi offered her another kind smile, and this time he managed to keep it on his stubbled face. The blond was charming, if not a little skittish. And the lack of confidence was what really caught his attention. Even if she had emitted a strong sense of confidence, it would have alerted him.

Anyone who was anything but themselves, raised caution and curiosity. Levi sometimes wondered if anyone would ever figure that out. If they would ever realize that being less or more would always raise his suspicion. But someting inside of him told him that they wouldn't. People always blocked out the truth of what they really wanted to see. And they believed a lie if they felt that it was true. It was always about manipulation.

Levi raised his brow and rolled onto the balls of his feet once. Lifting a hand from his pocket to scratch just on his jaw line before stuffing it back into it's pocket. "I didn't imply anything was wrong, Ms. Gothel. It's not often I see a shocked face, and I can't help but be concerned."Levi offered, his warm smile turning into a sheepish grin. It was a bold faced lie, and it came out easily. Levi saw shocked faces all the time. But he wasn't about to feed the flame of burning rumors. The people of Stonebrook gave enough oxygen to thm to keep them going. Levi didn't need to help it move in the slightest.

It was a slight perk of being who he was. Things continuously moved around, and he didn't need to dip his hands into any of it. At least not often.

Oh gosh, who was he trying to kid? Her? She may be a wee bit naive but she knew enough about Mr. Sinclair to know that the man doesn't have a nice bone in his body, let alone his thoughts. She made sure that these thoughts didn't show up on her face otherwise he might raise more questions. Ones that Guinevere really didn't want to answer.

Nodding in agreement however, she gave him a friendly smile, "Oh yes. I can see how easy it would be to get lost in pleasant thoughts, Mr. Sinclair." Guinevere knew all to well what the fresh air did to one's mind. Guinevere herself truly enjoyed the fresh air while debating on which flowers to bring into the restaurant for the day. Her customers gave her compliments about her choices, and that's what kept Guinevere to keep doing it. It was all about the customer loyalty after all.

And there was the eyeroll. She didn't know him well enough to know what it meant, but she knew enough that nothing good came of it. She began to think that perhaps she wasn't a very good liar. Well of course she wasn't! She couldn't lie to anyone! "Oh there's no need to be concerned, Mr. Sinclair. I am not shocked at all.. More like ... surprised.." Yes.. surprised that was it. She was surprised that she had bumped into him of all people. "I guess I didn't peg you the type to venture outside. Is that wrong of me?"

We live half in the day time
WORDS 331 OUTFIT deep grey button down, black slacks and polished leather top shoes~

Levi wasn't trying to fool anyone. In fact, he was very much telling the truth. His pleasent thoughts were just sifferent from other people's. All of his ideas and words were different. But that didn't mean he wasn't allowed to have them, he had them all the time. It was more like no one knwe about them. If they did, well... it would just be a bit weird for Levi. His thoughts were his own. So sue him.

Levi had never really gone into Guinevere's resturant. He'd never really have a reason to. There was nough food for him to enjoy at his home. And no one bothered him. He wasn't even sure if anyone knew where his front door was. Levi assumed that they all just turned a blind eye to it, or they thought he lived in his shop. Either way, he preferred it that way.

"Surprised isn't far away from shocked, Ms. Gothel. and I can't help but wonder why you'd be either. My smile isn't that frightening, is it?" Levi gave a soft chuckle, running a hand over his chin bfore it disappeared into his pocket again. His eerie form of laughter faded away on the light breeze. " Oh, it's not wrong of you at all. I do tend to stay in my shop a little too much. Perhaps I should make it a point to come out more often, the sun is nice." Levi chided, "Maybe I'll treat myself to a dinner out. I've heard nothing but good things about your resturant. I think it's high time I saw for myself." Levi smiled and gave a small wink.

When in all honesty, at least to himself. It was her skittish behavior that was pulling him to going out for food. He was going to make it a point to keep an eye on th young woman. Maybe it was nothing, but even Levi could never be sure.

She sure wasn't doing a very good job of hiding how she really felt by being the company of a one Mr. Sinclair. She knew very little about the man, only real thing she knew was that he owned an antique shop in town. It wasn't far from her restaurant and while she was born and raised in Stonebrook, she never even really ventured inside. She couldn't actually recall if he had ever gone into the restaurant either. Surely, if she had seen him, she would have remembered. He just has a certain vibe to his person that if one came in contact with him that surely they would remember it.

Considering that logic then, it would make one wonder why exactly she had this feeling about him. Call it gut, or instinct, but something told her that there was something very off about the man before her, but she couldn't figure out what that was, let alone why. Perhaps it was because of the hushed hushed whispers on the street about that silly weird man who keeps to his shop that gave her this idea in her head. Whatever it was, it sure as heck wasn't being very well hidden. Obviously, because he kept questioning her, and the ideas of trying to get out of it kept escaping her. She didn't want to give the man any reason to keep to her, but here she was, doing that very thing. No matter what she was saying, he kept twisting it, and backing her into a corner, which made for her nerves to continue to spew out of control.

Blushing, she pulled some hair behind her ear, and looked at the man, "True, it's not. Shocked and surprised that is, but I hope you don't hold it against me that I am. It's just .. Well I don't ever really see you come around? You seem to have a certain.. mystery about yourself that very little of us know about, Mr. Sinclair. I really truly meant no disrespect." she then looked to the ground, because they way his eyes were piercing at her, made her mouth go dry. She only looked up again, with a bright smile when he mentioned going into her restaurant. It was her pride that caused the smile. "The .. my.. You want to come to the restaurant?" she couldn't help but question. "I don't know what you like, but I'm sure I could whip something up for you."
